Angelica Panganiban is a Filipino-American actress, model and TV host as well as a comedian. Panganiban has been referred to as the Queen of Drama in numerous media. Being the youngest contestant in show history and second in the show's history, she placed 2nd. Angelica Hale fell ill at age 4 with Strep and pneumonia as a result of an infection brought on by bacteria. The young lady desperately required urgent medical attention and was put on ECMO life-support at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. The patient became septic and suffered multiple organ failure, including the kidneys that did not fully recover. The process of peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis later was her new norm. She finally returned home after an eighteen-day stay in the hospital from the point where she was near death to the lengthy road to healthy. The way she lived her life was forever changed. After one year and a half of dialysis Angelica was able to undergo the largest surgery in her life: a kidney transplant. Her mother would be the organ donor. On September 13 2013 Angelica as well as her mother underwent a successful kidney transplantation surgery at two amazing hospitals located across the street from each other: the Memory University Hospital as well as Children's Hospital of Atlanta Egleston.
